HDBR Out and About
Frontiers in Stem Cell Innovation
HDBR attended the “Frontiers in Stem Cell Innovation” meeting on 5–6 February 2026.
The first day took place at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre on the Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridge. The meeting was opened by Professor Majlinda Lako from the Newcastle University Bioscience Institute, who also delivered a keynote talk on drug repurposing in retinoblastoma using primary tumour samples and patient-specific retinal organoids.
The second day was held at the Cambridge Building on the Babraham Research Campus. Across both days there was a full scientific programme with talks and panel discussions on stem cell technologies, disease modelling and drug discovery.
The meeting provided several valuable opportunities for conversations with researchers at different career stages to introduce them to the Human Developmental Biology Resource and explained how colleagues can apply to access our services and associated data.
